Material and casting fees

The fee is $129 per wax piece in yellow bronze and $159 per wax piece in sterling silver. For gold, the price varies depending on the weight of the finished piece. Once we receive your wax, we will send you a quote before proceeding with casting.

4. At the Camillette studio, we cast your piece in the metal of your choice. A few days later, your one-of-a-kind jewelry arrives at your door.

Do I need any jewelry making experience ?

Not at all. The kit was designed for beginners. The tutorials guide you step by step so you can learn how to work with and sculpt wax at your own pace.

What can I create with the kit ?

You can create your own wax ring, pendant, or earrings. You decide on the shape, style, and details to create THE piece that truly feels like you.

What is included in the kit ?

The kit includes a ring mandrel, ring sizer, saw, two wax ring tubes, one wax plate, a half round file, three sheets of sandpaper, a bag to return your creations, all necessary instructions, and access to the video tutorials.

Is all the necessary material included ?

The kit includes the main tools you need to work with wax. A few common household tools may also be useful, such as a scalpel, lighter, compass, pencil, paper, and a fine needle.

How does my wax creation become a real piece of jewelry ?

Once your creation is finished, you send your wax piece to the Camillette studio. We then have it cast in the metal of your choice, complete the finishing and polishing, and send your finished piece of jewelry back to you.

Which metal can I choose for my jewelry ?

Your creation can be made in yellow bronze, sterling silver, or gold. For gold, several options are available. Before sending your wax to the studio, you will be able to fill out an order form and select the metal of your choice. A quote for the gold casting costs will then be sent to you for approval.

Is jewelry casting included in the price of the kit ?

No. The kit is sold separately from the casting and finishing fees. The cost is $129 per wax piece in yellow bronze and $159 per wax piece in sterling silver. For gold, the price depends on the weight of the piece. We will send you a quote after receiving your wax and before proceeding with the casting.

How many pieces of jewelry can I make with one kit ?

The kit includes two wax tubes for making rings, as well as one wax plate that can be used to create a pendant. This gives you the opportunity to experiment and create several designs with the materials provided.

What happens if I make a mistake while sculpting my wax ?

That is actually one of the advantages of working with wax. You can gradually file, sand, and modify your creation until you are happy with the result. The tutorials are also there to guide you throughout the entire process.

How can I return my creation to Camillette ?

Once your wax piece is ready, pack it in the plastic container provided for this purpose and place it inside the transport bag included with the kit.

You can then send it to our studio so we can begin transforming your creation into a one of a kind piece of jewelry.
